Jupiter Reef Club Owners,
The Jupiter Reef Club is undergoing the largest property advances since its 1983 establishment. The seawall project is progressing, and roof replacement is scheduled to begin this month. Click here to view the most recent footage of the seawall progress. As the seawall project continues to move forward the association will simultaneously complete replacement of all roofs.
As you will recall, in September 2017 the Jupiter Reef Club was impacted by hurricane Irma. Thankfully, hurricane Irma did not make direct landfall in Jupiter as originally predicted. This widespread storm event damaged the cement composite roofs on all five buildings and the gazebo. Experts determined roof replacement was necessary. Despite holding an extensive property insurance policy, the claim was partially denied. Property insurance claim attorneys were engaged to defend the associations right to recovery. During that time, a temporary roof repair was completed. The case has been settled completely and roof replacement remains necessary.
On July 8th, 2019 the Board of Directors unanimously voted to award the roof replacement contract to Therma Seal Roofing. The roof will be upgraded with a .040 gauge aluminum panel system with a Pacific Blue Kynar coating. The new standing seam roof will provide greater wind resistance with a concealed fastener system while improving the design aesthetic of the entire resort property.
Please be advised roof replacement is estimated to begin August 26th. Roof replacement construction activity will be ongoing during weeks 34 to 45.
During this construction we will continue to provide the finest seaside vacation accommodations to make your Jupiter Reef Club visit nothing but the best.
Every effort will be made to complete the roof replacement as quickly and efficiently as possible. All amenities will remain open. The upper patio deck, North and South sides of the property, and the South parking lot remain closed due to seawall construction. During the roof replacement project, access to portions of the property may be temporarily restricted. Construction activities will occur between dawn and dusk. To ensure all weekly visitors have access to convenient parking, all parking spaces are assigned and reserved for weekly residing unit owners and renters. I look forward to providing you continued updates throughout the progression of the roof and seawall property enhancements.
